Surveys
Surveys let you collect feedback from customers during their ordering experience. Gather valuable insights about your audience, measure satisfaction, or collect marketing data.
What are Surveys?
Surveys are optional questionnaires that appear during the customer's order flow. They can include:
- Multiple choice questions (single or multiple selection)
- Text response questions
- Up to 5 questions per survey
Responses are collected and visible in your campaign analytics.
Creating a Survey
Step 1: Basic Information
- Go to Set up → Surveys
- Click Add Survey
- Fill in:
- Name: Internal reference name
- Description: Optional notes about the survey's purpose
Step 2: Add Questions
- Click Add question
- Configure each question (see below)
- Repeat for additional questions (maximum 5)
Step 3: Assign to Campaign
- Open your campaign
- In Linked Resources, find Survey
- Select your survey
- Save the campaign

Question Types

Radio Questions
Customers select one option from a list.
Example:
- Label: "How did you hear about us?"
- Options: "Social media", "Friend", "Email", "Advertisement", "Other"
Checkbox Questions
Customers can select multiple options.
Example:
- Label: "Which products interest you?"
- Options: "Photo prints", "Calendars", "Photobooks", "Postcards"
Text Field Questions
Customers type a free response.
Example:
- Label: "Any additional feedback?"
- Hint: "Optional — share your thoughts with us"
Multi-Language Support
Survey questions can be translated for each language your webapp supports:
- Open your survey
- Use the language picker to switch languages
- Enter translated text for:
- Question labels
- Hint text
- Option labels
- Save your changes
WARNING
Make sure to translate all questions for each supported language. Untranslated questions will show blank or default text.
Managing Questions
Reordering Questions
Use the up/down arrows to change question order. Questions appear to customers in the order shown.
Deleting Questions
Click the delete icon to remove a question. This cannot be undone.
Editing Options
For radio and checkbox questions:
- Click Add option to add choices
- Drag options to reorder them
- Click the remove icon to delete an option
Viewing Results
Survey responses appear in your campaign dashboard:
Survey Answers Chart
For radio and checkbox questions:
- Visual chart showing response distribution
- Percentage and count for each option
- Filter by date range
Text Responses
For text field questions:
- Responses are collected but not shown in charts
- Can be exported with order data
Chart Limitations
- Maximum 3 questions shown in the chart
- Text field questions are not displayed in charts

Customer Interest Survey
Purpose: Understand what brought customers to your campaign
Questions:
- "How did you discover this promotion?" (Radio)
- Social media, Email, Friend recommendation, Advertisement, Website
- "What products would you like to see in the future?" (Checkboxes)
- Canvas prints, Mugs, Phone cases, Magnets
- "Any suggestions for us?" (Text)
Brand Awareness Survey
Purpose: Measure brand recognition
Questions:
- "Have you heard of [Brand] before?" (Radio)
- Yes, No
- "Where have you seen [Brand]?" (Checkboxes)
- TV, Online ads, Store, Social media, Never seen before
- "How likely are you to recommend [Brand]?" (Radio)
- Very likely, Likely, Neutral, Unlikely, Very unlikely
Product Feedback Survey
Purpose: Gather product preferences
Questions:
- "What's the main occasion for this order?" (Radio)
- Gift, Personal use, Home decoration, Memory keeping, Other
- "What size do you prefer?" (Radio)
- Small, Medium, Large
- "What other photo products interest you?" (Checkboxes)
- Albums, Wall art, Calendars, Cards
Best Practices
Question Design
- Keep questions clear and concise
- Use neutral language (avoid leading questions)
- Limit to essential questions only
- Make most questions optional
Options
- Provide comprehensive choices
- Include "Other" when appropriate
- Keep option lists manageable (5-8 max)
- Order logically (e.g., positive to negative)
User Experience
- Fewer questions = higher completion
- Put most important questions first
- Use hints to clarify if needed
- Test the flow yourself
Data Quality
- Use consistent keys for tracking
- Consider how you'll analyze responses
- Plan for multi-language responses

Common Questions
Are surveys required?
Surveys are optional. You can run campaigns without any survey questions.
Can I change surveys mid-campaign?
Yes, but be aware:
- New questions only apply to new orders
- Historical data won't include new questions
- Removing questions stops collecting that data
Can I make all questions optional?
Yes. Use the "Required" toggle to control whether customers must answer.
How do I export survey data?
Survey responses are included when you export order data from your campaign.
Can I skip surveys for returning customers?
No, surveys appear for every order. Consider keeping them short.
